Event Information

Come join Hillel of Silicon Valley (SV) at L’Dor V’Dor, Hillel SV’s annual festive event celebrating our students and the community that supports them. Thanks to you, this past year has been particularly robust. Your help has provided innovative and broad-based programming, from Shabbat dinners and holiday celebrations to social events and social action.

Thanks to your support, students attending Hillel SV programming has increased 80 percent. Community members home-cooked Shabbat meals now attract more than 50 students every Shabbat. We send students to Jewish educational and leadership programs. Besides Hillel clubs on our five campuses, our students are building Israel advocacy clubs on their campuses.

This year’s L’Dor V’Dor will start at 5:00 p.m. on March 17--near Purim. Come in costume for our masquerade theme! If you prefer not to, but change your mind when you arrive, we’ll provide masks and other Purim fixings. And of course, there will be plenty of haman- taschens!

This year, Hillel SV honors two active, long-serving members of Hillel’s Board of Directors: Anita Margittai and Michal Strutin. Unstinting in their support of Hillel students, they have stepped up in various roles, from organizing Shabbat meals to serving as campus advisor.

L’Dor V’Dor’s emcee this year will be Eric Medeiros, an active Hillel SV member while at San Jose State for his degrees. The Stray Dogs, a band of Hillel SV students, will provide live music. Since it’s Purim, there will be magic, by magician Michael Stroud. Our silent auction will offer sports tickets, trips, and more. And attendees can support Fund-a-Need, which provides funding for much of Hillel SV’s programming.
